[SOLVED] New gaming/music build plan - just like to confirm its a good one

Pretty sure I am piecing together a good new build to replace my 8 year old build, but love to have others confirm its a good'n. This new build will be used for gaming as well as digital music production.

Reusing these parts:
Case: Fractal Design R5
GPU: MSI Gaming X 1060 6GB (until the price of 3060ti cards are not crazy anymore, then I will upgrade to that)
Storage: 3 Crucial SSD drives
Misc: Case fans, various Sata cables, etc

New parts to buy:
CPU: Intel i5 12600K
Mobo: MSI PRO Z690-A WIFI DDR4
CPU Cooler: CORSAIR iCUE H115i RGB PRO XT
Memory: G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series 32GB (2 x 16GB) DDR4
Sound Card: Creative Sound Blaster AE-7
PSU: Seasonic FOCUS PX-850

I was planning on getting one of these anyway to hook up my midi controller: https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/M2--motu-m2-2x2-usb-c-audio-interface
So with that hooked up via USB-C, you think I'd have better sound than with that soundblaster card?
Yes, I would go straight through the MOTU instead of the sound card. Most of the modern audio codecs on the motherboards are pretty decent otherwise and a sound card can only add so much to that. A D/A setup is isolated on the other hand and can give you better output.

The only thing I dont like about D/A setups is you have to put it somewhere on your desk. That might not be an issue for everyone but for me, that can be challenging.
