As animal said earlier, get 2*4 gb ram.

You can also get the r9 290x if you dont mind some extra heat and noise. It is cheaper than the gtx 780 (in India) and is faster.

http://www.flipkart.com/powercolor-amd-ati-r9-290x-4gb-gddr5-graphics-card/p/itmdqzdn9bnfsgsc?pid=GRCDQZC9HEWDXEHU&otracker=from-search&srno=t_1&query=amd+r9+290&ref=cefa9c37-1284-441c-8a59-b688b0a9c084

Or you could get the galaxy gtx 780 for 6k less.

Some possible price cuts you could do:

1.Get a non-"k" series CPU, would save you a few dollars on the CPU and you would not need a Z87 motherboard nor the Hyper 212 EVO.

2. Keep the CPU listed, but get a less expensive Z87 motherboard. This will not save as much as option 1.

3. Get the cheapest compatible RAM you can find and possibly sacrifice speed (1333 vs the 1600 you have listed)

4. Get a lower wattage PSU....a single GTX 780 system only needs a quality 575W PSU, if you are overclocking, look for a minimum of 650W from Seasonic, XFX, Corsair (except their CX series) or Antec.

5. Lose the SSD, it only speeds up boot/load times, does not really effect game/program performance

6. Look at getting an AMD CPU & motherboard

Get the r9 290x even if you do not consider cost. It is the fastest gpu in flipkart since the gtx 780ti is yet to launch.

And so is the r9 290x. It also beats the gtx titan. But if you worry about power consumption, heat, noise and do not care about price then you can get the gtx 780 amp.

well, there is the dilemma........good and cost saving don't go together. However, an acceptable near i5 performance AMD CPU is the FX8350. It's a little cheaper and takes a AM3+ motherboard. However, AM3+ motherboards only have PCIe 2.0 slots. A PCIe 3.0 GPU will run in the 2.0 slot (3.0 GPUs are backwards compatible) usually without any bottlenecking issues unless you want a multi-GPU set-up. Downside is that good AM3+ motherboards can cost almost as much as their Intel series counterparts.

GPU:PowerColor AMD/ATI R9 290X 4GB GDDR5
Here is a review link
http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/Powercolor/R9_290X_OC/31.html
Just make sure u get the product with this part number:AXR9 290X 4GBD5-MDHG/OC

CPU: Any specific reason to go with Haswell?
Intel 3.4 GHz LGA 1155 Core i5 3570K

Mobo:Gigabyte GA-Z77MX-D3H Motherboard
Asrock might look shinier, but it doesn't implement true phases in it's VRM. Gigabyte is technically better.

RAM:Corsair Vengeance DDR3 8 GB (2 x 4 GB) PC RAM (CMZ8GX3M2A2133C11R)
It is 2 sticks so u can use in dual channel mode

750W is more than enough for 2 GPUs. Make sure u buy the Seasonic model

SSD:Plextor M5S 128 GB
I don't know why this isn't popular because this has the best performance/price ratio. Maybe Indians only know about the brand Samsung

Case:COOLER MASTER CABINET K281

That is what u should be getting for Haswell CPU.
I suggested an Ivy Bridge CPU btw

If he plans on crossfiring the 290x in future then he is better for with a 850W PSU.

Not really, r9 290x is known to consume almost 300W during full load. And an overclocked i5 consumes almost 100W.

So, suppose his system is at 100% system load then-

2x290x = 2x300 W

OCed 4670k = 100W

Mobo and other equipment = 30W.

And this adds up to 730W. And if you take into account other stuff like PSU efficiency, then he is much better off with a high quality 850W PSU.

Remember, it is also better to be on the safer side when buying PSUs for a build.

I would say Ivy Bridge

@ayushde
85% efficiency does not mean the psu can deliver only 85% of its labeled wattage. It means it can only convert 85% of AC power to DC, the power that it is getting from the mains. A good PSU will always be able to deliver its rated wattage.
On other hand, good PSUs often can deliver more than its labeled wattage. For example, the Corsair TX750 V2 made by Seasonic can actually deliver upto 900W
http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/article/Corsair-TX750-V2-Power-Supply-Review/1227/8
Here u can see the AC power was 1123W, and it delivered 80.1% of it

As a more solid example, take a look at Valve Steam Machine prototypes
http://steamcommunity.com/groups/steamuniverse#announcements/detail/2145128928746175450
Here an i7 and Titan system is powered by a 450W PSU. I know it has a low power SSHD and no optical drive but still

Well, I didnt know that........Thanks for improving my knowledge.....:D

??????????

You did not explain reasons for choosing each component. Personally i would be very picky and cautious at that budget range

Also personally i do care about temperatures and non acceptable noise. Different models of the R9 290X are not yet available. So i would actually go for something lesser like a GTX 770 even if it is slower
