Hi, Im new member in this forum, I've been always around reading (for years!!) but never got the idea of become a member till now! so hereis the deal.. i want to build a new pc for gaming and daily use.. not a hardcore gamer but will play BF4, COD Ghost, and Batman origins.

i gonna use some hardware from my actual build like power supply
Antec EarthWatts and same case and fans.

im thinking to buy this:

Intel Xeon 3.3 e3-1230v2
ASRock Z77 Pro4
G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB
MSI R9 270X GAMING 2G Radeon R9 270X
WD 1GB Blue

and this router Netgear WNR3500L

Im thinking to spend around 700... cant go more than 800...

so my doubts are..
is this system going to be able to handle games like BF4, COD and next games for the next 2 or 3 years???

and is the router good enough to stream videos through wired network???
thanks to take your time on reading my first post!!!
and feel free to help me!

Solution
DO NOT GET A XEON down grade to a i5 4670K and use the extra money to get a better gpu, maybe a 280X Router should be fine

As a quick explanation the Xeon is a server grade CPU although as that is a consumer grade one it isn't great anyway. You cannot overclock it, it is designed to multitask and has a heap of both cores and virtual cores, anyhow it is useless for gaming
also get a 1150 socket, try using a ASROCK Extreme 4

thanks.
I was thinking about it too... but ive read that xeon is like i7 but without graphics...
i knew about the overclocking thing but im not really an overclocker.
if i dont overclock i should still go for i5??

280x is a way better than 270x???

I live in Florida.

I saw the haswell version but i rather spend 50 more bucks and get i7. But it will still 1155 socket.
if i dont overclock i xeon worth it over the i7... if im not wrong the only difference will be the "buil-it" graphics.

where you not listening? A xeon is for server operation, it just ins't something you put in a normal PC, it is not like an i7 without graphics it is just a processor purely designed to cope with the multi core processing requirements of a server. I reccomend the i5 4670 or if you really want an i7 a 4770, or if you are getting a 1155 mobo get a i5 3570 or something
