I have recently been looking to build a budget gaming rig for about $500. I am only in high school so my budget is very tight! I am looking to play Battlefield 4, Arma III, Day Z and even some racing games. I really want to play these games at about 60fps on high settings at 1080p. I really don't know much about PC's and building them so I need advice. I have made 2 builds of different variations. I have build 1(http://pcpartpicker.com/user/raysfan98/saved/vwnXsY) which is where I have a more expensive CPU than the video card. And I have build 2(http://pcpartpicker.com/user/raysfan98/saved/JHKnTW) which is a more expensive video card than a CPU. So, What do you guys think spend more on the GPU or the CPU?
All suggestions are welcome,
-Thanks! ^_^ -

The 270x will do ultra in bf4.

Look at your price differences... you can get the i5 and the 280 for little more. If it means waiting a few more weeks.. I think it would be worth it.
i would advice you to go with the core i5 rig .. u can play most games at 1080p with low or medium settings..
the amd cpu is too weak to handle demanding games even though the gpu is powerful..

Thanks for the response, however I truly believe the R9 270x can easily handle almost any game at high settings, why do you think you could only get low-medium settings out of this?
Thanks for the suggestion! ^_^
