Hey there,

Pretty solid build. is the PSU the RMx? If so, the PSU is a good choice to go with the 3070ti and trasnient power spikes that come with RTX. Fastest gaming CPU right now (for the most part). Stretching to 32gbs of ram would be a good idea. Some games are pushing past 16gbs right now, so 32gb will do you for a good while.

For the boot drive, although 256gb is enough, getting the 500/51gb version will be better and prob slightly faster read/write speeds and random IOPS. Going an extra 20-30£$€ there would also be a good call.

Is this a pre-built? If so you can definitely get better. 256GB for a primary drive is a joke these days, even if it's only to boot the OS. The 5800X3D is a nice CPU but really it's a CPU that functions better in games than in real world applications. If you have other uses for this machine I might suggest using the 7600X instead. This is personally what I'd suggest:

I chose AM4 for the value proposition to squeeze in a better GPU.

Whilst this is an OK setup I think if you are spending circa £2k on a new PC then it is a little underwhelming and overpriced.

If I was investing that kind of money then I would definitely be going the DDR5 route at this stage and with you wanting to play at 1440p I would be looking at a 3080 10gb (or AMD equivalent) as a minimum. I feel that it will not be long before we are exceeding 8gb of VRAM at 1440p.

Do you have any preferences in terms of style or are you more functional than bling?

This is the top end of your budget but I would say that you would not have to do anything to it for a while. As suggested above you could drop the 7700x for a 7600x but I went with the 8 core for longevity.
