[SOLVED] New GPU 1080ti vs 2080

Hi there
i plan on buying a new gpu: 1080ti or 2080
which has better performance?
what about future-proofing?
a rtx 2080 in my country costs: 877EUR, 1011USD
a gtx 1080 in my country costs: 870EUR,1003USD
Which is better?

I think the 2080 has a little better performance. The 1080 Ti has more memory. It's a guess at which is better for future gaming. Also consider the RTX has the new tech for ray tracing. They both have their perks.

I would agree with the above. Unless you can get a good deal on the GTX 1080 or GTX1080 Ti, I would get the RTX 2080.

I saw that 1080ti has better overall performance but 2080 has ray tracing but little games support ray tracing right now

Maybe it's the game or different models. I originally saw the 1080 Ti had better performance, but the latest benchmarks from actual reviewers showed the 2080 having better overall performance. I think it was Joker that showed the latest one I saw. Perhaps you could look up the benchmarks on YouTube from Joker, Gamers Nexus, Hardware Unboxed, etc.
