This is my first time upgrading my computer. I recently purchased a GPU (EVGA GeForce RTX 2060 SC Ultra GAMING, 06G-P4-2067-KR, 6GB GDDR6, Dual HDB Fans ) and RAM (CORSAIR Vengeance 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model CMZ16GX3M2A1600C10B) for my computer. I turned off my computer and made sure I was grounded on wooden floors and not wearing socks. I took out my original GPU and installed the new GPU (RTX 2060). Then I removed my old RAM and installed my new RAM. I made sure it was all connected and secured and latched. Finally, I put my computer case back together and turned on my computer, all power was running and fans were turning. The problem is my monitor was black and would not display or detect.
I attempted to do some troubleshooting. First, I removed the GPU and tried my old GPU and it did not work. Then, I put my original GPU and RAM back in the computer and the monitor was still not detecting anything. After that I took the GPU out and tried to start up with just using the motherboard HDMI port and the monitor was still black and not displaying. I tried to run BIOS with F1, F2, F8, F10, F11, F12 and Del but still nothing would display. I have checked using another monitor using both DVI and HDMI cables to see if it is a monitor issue.
I am stumped and very new this please help!
