[SOLVED] New GPU -> Black screen

Hey everyone,

Really need some help here! (Disclaimer: I'm not super familiar when it comes to PC builds, but I've tried to do as much research as possible, so forgive me if I sound like an idiot)

I decided to upgrade my GPU and, after installing the new card, I now get a black screen on boot.
All the fans are working and the GPU is lit up.
I get one single short POST beep approximately every 30 seconds - have no idea what this means, although possibly it's booting fine but restarting every 30 secs?
I get the error code 'A0' - "IDE initialization has started".

What I've done so far:

• 
  I uninstalled the old graphics drivers and shut down before changing the GPUs.
  I tried switching back to the old GPU and everything was working fine again.
  I check all the cables were plugged in.
  I tried different monitor cables

Any help at all would be much appreciated!

PSU: Thermaltake Toughpower Grand RGD Gold 850W
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD3H
CPU: Intel Core i7-3770 @ 3.40 GHz
Old GPU: NVIDIA Quadro 2000
New GPU: MSI GeForce GTX 1070 Ti Gaming 8GB

Did you connect all aditional power cables? The new GPU has 1 or 2 connectors in the back of the gpu.

Yeah, after I first realised there was an issue, I made sure to double check all the cables. Thanks though

If you know the motherboard model and manufacturer. it would be easier. Some of them have a audio signal that can be interpreted by consulting the manual. Or have a onboard led which could help you narrow things down.

Ooops, sorry, forgot to include that in the original post. The motherboard is the Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD3H

Hey, so, after several days of scouring Google for answers to no avail, I finally found the answer!
I was about ready to give up, but thought perhaps updating the BIOS might help. Updated it using the old graphics card, shut down, installed new graphics card, and it now works perfectly!! Thanks for everyone's help
