[SOLVED] New GPU FPS problems

Hi, I have just replaced my 1080ti with a rtx 2080ti. When I play FF14 online my frame rate is below 40fps. Anyone know how to get better fps?

Asus prime deluxe
64gb ram
rtx 2080ti
1tb m2 ssd
3x240gb ssd's

Had no problems with my 1080ti.

Had no problems with my 1080ti.

You should have uninstalled the old graphics driver before taking 1080ti out, then installed 2080ti and then latest Nvidia driver. Try uninstalling your GPU driver using DDU and then install the latest Nvidia driver.

Are your CPU and GPU temps in the normal range?
Are you overclocking?

CPU is 35-40 GPU is 60-70 both are water cooled

Also try updating the game.
The same thing happen if you play offline?

Just tried a few games just as bad, Jurassic world was 45-50fps Chaosbane was the same.

What resolution? Any supersampling (Dynamic Super Resolution)? What's the GPU clock speed when you see the low FPS?

Whats your PSU?
If your FPS is lower than the 1080ti then its not the CPU.

Check and ensure you installed the latest chipset drivers for your motherboard, sound, lan, etc....for your motherboard. That can be a factor.

What would you need a 16 core CPU for? If you do, get a Ryzen 3950x for much less

For just gaming, they are all beat by a 9900k , but you can get the lowest model 8-10 core for whatever generation and it will be fine. 9800x or 10900x.

That will work great, just ensure the motherboard bios is up to date.
