So I've built my first PC
I've got all components installed correctly (It runs fine)
however, when I install my gpu it wont display. This is after I've changed to on board graphics, installed all drivers and it says that the gpu is recognised, supported and up to date. however when I go into my BIOS and change the initial display settings to the PCI slot. There's no picture.

I am using vga from my motherboard as I don't have any hdmi-vga/dvi-vga which is what my monitor uses, any ideas?

Solution
You're gpu can only output thru ITS ports. It can't use the ports on the motherbd at all. Those are for the integrated GPU only.
