New GPU issue

Jun 25, 2009
this mobo has a onboard gpu it works without any problem, i installed a new 9800gt and it sometimes wont even POST and when it does i get a "DQS training failed" error then the next boots dont have any problem also sometimes while runing it locks up and wont boot for a while then "DQS taining failed" error again.
im thinking the PSU cant hold it anymore, any suggestion?

thanks in advance.

CPU: AMD Athlon 64 x2 4600+
Memory: G Skill PC6400 2GBx2
Motherboard: ECS GF8200A ( i know its not so great but kinda works)
Video Card: EVGA NVIDIA GeForce 9800GT 512 GDDR3 (new)
PSU: Anlix Gold Edition 550w? (bad brand i heard?)
What is your RAM voltage? Is anything overclocked?

Whether or not it is part of this problem, I'd still suggest replacing your generic PSU with one designed for use in a computer. Antec, PC Power & Cooling, Corsair, Seasonic, and Enermax are all decent choices. Choose one with 80+ certification and active PFC.
