New GPU not sending any signal and no signal from motherboard

I just added a graphics card to my existing build and neither the motherboard or the GPU will send a video signal. The PC worked completely fine before this and when I take my GPU out, it works fine again. Am I supposed to download and install the driver before I install the hardware? I just ordered this new card. It’s a gtx 1050 ti strix. I am using hdmi on HP Pavilion 21.5-Inch IPS LED HDMI VGA Monitor until I can get my ASUS monitor in the mail.

I updated the post to add the information about my build.

Turns out that the HDMI was dead when I recieved the GPU and the dvi ports work so I guess I will just have to make do with the 3 other functioning ports.
