Question New gpu not showing in device manager and fans not spinning

Apr 4, 2018
Hey guys,

I got a new gpu and I get a blackscreen, also it doesn't show in device manager and fans are not spinning(LED is on).
I thought it might be DOA so I got a replacement but I still have the same problem. When I try to install the drivers it says 'amd hardware' not found.
So I'm thinking the psu or the main board might be the problem. I tried the other pcie slots too and it didn't work either.
I think probably the psu is the problem because my first graphics card might have been killed by a fail. An old card my friend gave me didn't work after that either(we just assumed it was broken probably). So then I got a 1050ti which doesn't need power from the psu, which worked perfectly before I broke it. And now this card that needs power doesn't work again.

I'll try to get a new psu asap to test it, but in the meantime I wanted to ask if any of you have different ideas on what might be the problem :)

Thanks in advance!
