So to sum it up, I had a 1660 that black screens when I try to play games, so I got a new PSU, new storage, and new GPU but not it just wont post.

I have a
550w 80 bronze PSU
intel i3 10105f
asus b560
2x8gb ddr4

as for the timeline:
2 weeks ago my 1660 has started black screening when playing games, losing all display output.
I upgrade my PSU from a 450 to a 550 No change.
I add a new ssd and reinstall windows No change.

finally I just get a new GPU, at first it will not post, and has 1 long + 3 short beeps but after messing with EVERYTHING it boots but it has some artifacting, and will stutter / flash colours. I update drivers and nothing fixes the stuttering, and colour flashes but the artifacting goes away. Eventually I need to reboot my pc, so I turn it off however when it reboots its back to the 4 beeps. I did notice DP1 has no display, but DP2 has a black screen.

I then tried to put the old GPU in and it was a 80/20 on it going back to not posting + the beeps or booting up fine

As for the fixes Ive tried
-Reseating GPU
-Swapping PSU
-Reseating Ram + swapping configuration to single stick in A1
-Resetting Bios
-Cleaning PCIE slot

Im about ready to throw it out of my window and get a GBA, ive dumped enough money into this already.

If I need to get into the pc I can use my old GPU to configure bios / other fixes.

so I got a new PSU
+
550w 80 bronze PSU
550W
is the advertised wattage of the unit while 80 bronze is the 80+ efficiency rating for said PSU, what is the make and model of the unit?

I upgrade my PSU from a 450 to a 550 No change.
What was your old PSU's make and model?

I add a new ssd and reinstall windows No change.
Please specify the make and model of the new SSD and which slot it's occupying on the motherboard. Where did you source the installer for the OS? Speaking of OSes, did you install the OS in offline mode?

You speak of a new GPU, what GPU were you on prior? Might want to provide links to both the old and the new GPU.

asus b560
Asus have a number of B560 chipsetted motherboards in their portfolio, which one do you have? Speaking of motherboards, what BIOS version are you on for your said motherboard?

Reseating Ram + swapping configuration to single stick in A1
Rams should be populating slots A2 and B2, if you have 4 slots for ram on the motherboard.

2x8gb ddr4
Got a link to said rams?

In troubleshooting, you need to be patient. To add, we're here to try and help...so help us, help you. This means being as detailed with your specs as possible. If your older PSU was of horrible build quality then that was what might've ruined the rest of your investments. This is why we state to pick up a reliably built PSU.
