Hi all,
In Vancouver graphics cards are cheap but which should i get? There is the MSI GTX 660 ti for only 290 but for just like 80 more i get the evga sc 670 for only 370 and if i go just 40 more i get the Galaxy GTX 680 and did i mention 7950 is only 315 by asus and the 7970 is only 370 same as 670 but which is the most worth it i plan to dual card only for 660ti and 7950

oh o.k. sorry i misunderstood well IMO the best bang for your buck depends on what your doing. The 7970 has better compute abilities (bitcoin mining?). The 680 has better raw gaming power.

Both are very good cards though, can't go wrong with either. P.S. I agree with redeemer for 370 you might as well get the 7970

I would go the 7950 or 7970 (they overclock amazing, and 7970 can reach the Ghz boards levels of gaming). I know you said you would only dual card the 7950 but what resolution are you playing at and what GPU do you have? If you got a 7970 you may not have to run CF for the life of the card.

Based on the choices you gave, I would get a 7950 and crossfire later. It's difficult to reccomend almost any Nvidia board the way AMD's pricing is on similarly performing boards. The 7950 is around 670 performance, and it overclocks better and scales much better at higher resolutions (>1080p) than any of Nvidia's current boards.

indeed, AMD pricing is just too hot at the moment

but i heard amd is releasing the 8900 series after xmas but i have to get a gpu by xmas and plus i only have an i5 3570k will it be a bottleneck and i only have a crappy 700w psu but i run a single 27inch monitor and another 15inch one

What? Are you kidding?

That's almost damn near the best possible combination for a CPU and GPU configuration. You should have that CPU overclocked if it does have a bottleneck effect.
