Hi all, newbie here so be kind.

I'm looking for a Graphics card for my sons PC, I've upgraded so he's now the 'proud' owner of my old rig, which is:

8 year old
i5-3570k overclocked
16gb ram
SSD and HDD
Windows 10

I never gamed so just used the onboard graphics

He wants to game originally only Minecraft so i fitted a GeForce GT 710 card which is rubbish

He now wants to play, Fortnite, CS Go, Fall Guys and the current graphics card is no good.

Could someone tell me what Graphics card i need to be getting him please as i have no idea where to start.

If you need anymore info please ask

Cheers guys, thanks in advance, Snaff

I used to have a 780 OC windforce and it was an amazing card but it's old now and even if you purchased one it would probably not have much life left tin it since it will be well used. 1050ti as others have suggested is the right route to go because I believe you will definitely be buying a whole new PC for your son and you when you both realize how amazing PC gaming is and the demands it takes to run most modern games, but for what you have described it will play the games you have listed, 60 FPS at lowest settings on most games can be very competitive as long as the 60 frames are stable.

Also check out League of legends game, it's a free to play low Pc specs demanding MOBA, it's the biggest game in the world at the moment and for good reason, it's highly addictive and you can collect skins for free so no need to spend a £ on it. It will keep your son busy for years for free on that PC, just a thought.

Take care.
