Hello all,

My step son is looking to upgrade his graphics card and I was hoping for some advice/options in the $300-$500 price point.

This is currently at the core of his system (see below). I'm assuming he's going to need to update his PSU and maybe the MB?

His motivation for upgrading are a few new PC games coming out. I believe the new Monster Hunter game is one of them.

Any help would be appreciated.

Current MB: Gigabyte Gv-N166SOC-6GD GeForce GTX 1660 Super OC 6G Graphics Card, 2X Windforce Fans, 6GB 192-bit GDDR6, Video Card
Current PSU: CORSAIR CX Series 550 Watt 80+ Bronze Certified Non-Modular Power Supply
Current Graphics Card: MSI Arsenal Gaming AMD Ryzen 2ND and 3rd Gen AM4 M.2 USB 3 DDR4 DVI HDMI Crossfire ATX Motherboard (B450 TOMAHAWK MAX II)
Current CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600X 6-Core, 12-Thread Unlocked Desktop Processor with Wraith Spire Cooler

What CPU?

Agreed. Hold out for now and see what the new cards look like. Plan on replacing the power supply.

What resolution is he running? Depending it may not be a bad idea to look at upgrading the cpu at some point as well. But am4 is relatively inexpensive to upgrade now.
