I recently upgraded my graphics card, and initially it worked. After three days or so it refused to boot. I put the old graphics card in and all launches perfectly. Then upon switching back to the new one, all i get is a black screen and the Red LED light for the CPU is constantly on. Not sure what the problem is. I read a similar thread, (http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/261145-31-perform-steps-posting-post-boot-video-problems) after reading not much of the info is of use as the old one works perfectly. I have searched around and tried a few things:
Re-installed drivers for the GTX 780 ti
Reset the CMOS
Re-seated the GPU
Update my BIOS to the latest version
I made sure to remove drivers of the old GPU
Also checked that power plugs into the GPU are fully connected
Each to no avail, if anyone could help me fix this issue i would be eternally grateful, thanks.
My PC specs are as follows:
SSD: Samsung 840 PRO series 128GB
Mother board: ASUS M5A99FX PRO R2.0
CPU: AMD FX-8 EIGHT CORE 8120
RAM: BALLISTIX SPORT 8GB (2X4GB) RAM is L3 Cache 8Mb and the type is DDR3.
AND:Corsair 2x4GB
Graphics: AMD R9 270X (new non working is the GTX 780 ti)
