New Graphics Card Recommendations?

I have recently built this new PC:
i7-4790K
Hyper 212 EVO CPU Cooler
ASUS Maximus VII Hero Motherboard
Crucial Ballistix Sport 16GB (2x8GB)

but I now have the decision of choosing a new graphics card to go with it. I have £250 to £300 (350 dollars roughly) to spend on a graphics card but I'm unsure what to buy, any recommendations?

Gigabyte - Powerful
MSI - coolest
EVGA - a little of everything

They're all great cards. Go with which one is most aesthetically appealing to you.

Don't worry about the 3.5GB VRAM. Very over publicized and not even an issue.

so what 970 would you say is the best? or should I go with AMD graphics card?

I went for EVGA. I've never had a problem with them before. The Asus was my second pick.

The AMD 3-series are about to come out soon. Consider waiting for them to come out, then let the benchmarks decide for you. If you want to get a card right away, I'd go for the 970 over any AMD card.
