So, i bought a gigabyte gtx 1080 mini itx edition yesterday. My psu, coolermaster 500watt doesnt have a 8 pin so i also got a 6 to 8 pin converter. I connected the GPU, it ran fine untill i opened a game, the screen went black and my gpu driver crashed. I thought it was a driver problem so i reinstalled drivers and it still crashed. I couldn't have been the PSU cause my total TDP should be with in 500 watts. I have i7 8700, two hdds , 1 ssd & 8 gigs of ddr4 ram. I don't have fancy cpu coolers or anything. So, Im thinking it might be the 6 pin to 8 pin connector or the GPU might be busted. Ill go to the seller today but i wanted to ask u guys anyways.

Apparently the 6 pin to 8 pin converter was busted. My friend had a converter that came with a gtx 980 ti, i got that from him and its working perfectly now.
