New hardware on retail floor with Windows 7 release?

I'm shopping around for a powerful yet well priced desktop replacement, but I'm wondering if I should wait until November to make my purchase in case retailers release newer better models to go along with the release of the new OS which everyone seems to be jumping on already (including the free upgrade to Windows 7 seems to be a big selling point). Should I expect some better deals to release concurrently or should I expect relatively no difference?
