New HDD for old gaming desktop

I have 2 HDD in mind and am not sure which to get. It is to replace a dying one in my wife's old gaming PC.

I know the black is better. But if the mainstream will work well enough, then id like to get it and save the $30, especially since im not sure how long im keeping this pc.
