New HDD New OS ?

Hello, I have a few questions about buying a new HDD. Please answer the following questions:

1. If I buy a brand new WD 500GB Blue for my upcoming build, will I need to purchase a new OS ? (Possibly Windows 7)

2.If so, which one ? (32-bit or 64-bit)

3.Is it possible to use my 320GB HDD from my current pc that has Windows Vista preinstalled ?

1. You always need another OS for a new build (unless you have the retail version of the OS)

2. always get 64 bit so you can add more ram as needed (32 bit is limited to 4 GB)

3. Is it a OEM license?

Yes it is. Never came with a disc or anything.

if the hard drive is for an existing computer you can clone the old hard drive to the new. if the old computer is no longer in use you can most likely use the old windows 7 key.
