my i7 4790k is using a intel stock heatsink, which recently got my cpu going 80 degrees and up to 100 in less that 10 secs for benchmarking, I checked for dust today and its clean, voltage in bios is set to default and nothing is overclocked. I noticed that the thermal paste has got gaps, but i might just play safe by replacing the heatsink with something better, im not planing on doing any overclocking, so Im not looking for the best thing out there but something to keep it cool gaming.
Any suggestions? was thinking about water cooling, would be my first.
