[SOLVED] New installed ssd not showing in windows

Built this pc 6 months ago and have a 1tb m.2 and wanted to add a 1tb ssd. All hooked up I see the ssd in my bios but when i post and goto disk management to format the ssd i dont see it what so ever. Made sure the SATA port was enabled in bios but cant figure it out. Help please!! Msi mpg x570 mobo

I see it in device manager and updates drivers. but still dont see it in local storage

Did you initialize the SSD?
(Right click Drive in Disk Management > Initialize)

check windows storage spaces. remove the ssd from there

When I open disk management I'm not being prompted the the box like it should and dont see the ssd in in disk management. But see it in my bios and disk drive under device management

Okk getting some where I see it in storage pool under physical drives and it says ok then next to that says rename or remove. Confused what does windows just combine the 2 storage devices without u have to name the second device?

ok. just the new sata ssd. remove it from the pool/delete the pool and it will then show up in disk management
