I really want to future proof this build, considering the fact the i will not want to upgrade for a good few years.
I already have 250 gb ssd and 1.5 tb of hdd so im alright with storage!

Go intel it has better upgrade options but you may want to look into skylake processors it offers more feature

Drop the 4790K, add a 6600K + appropriate changes, remove the water cooler (Air coolers are just as good, more reliable and in this case quieter) and make the difference with a 970.
