So I bought an Alienware. Got an awesome deal for a new one,(basically they made a mistake on my order and knocked a huge chuck of money off). Anyhow, it came with 8GB of DDR4 ram, 2133, Skylake CPU, 980m, and a 1TB HD. I decided to install two Curcial 250GB m2. SSD drives.(SATA) Had it running all day yesterday after reinstalling Windows 10 on one of the new drives. Tried cloning, but failed miserably. Also, decided to install new ram. 16GB of Kingston HyperX. Same speed, 2133. After installing the memory I keep getting BSOD's in the form of MEMORY_MANAGEMENT and IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL. Now, common sense is telling me the memory is more than likely the problem since it ran for a jesus amount of hours without fail just the day before. But I'd like some input before I return the ram. It won't stay on long enough for me to get the minidump of the blue screen and I'm not sure where else to look. For now I'm going to reinstall the original ram and price out the upgrade through Dell instead. I know the Skylake and mobo's are basically a month old, maybe not even that and since DDR4 is so new, I'm considering the possibility of the mobo basically telling my memory that it needs to get out of the hood. Any help would be fantastic, thanks!
