After months and months of anticipation, I finally got my ActLabs light gun
today. No setup, running on W2K Server (it's the only system I've got with
a CRT) the autodetect went flawlessly. Only problem is that it won't
calibrate. When I "shoot" the desktop, I get the context menu popping up
(which should be a right-mouse-button thing, not a left-mouse-button
thing), and the cursor is *never* where I pointed it. For a while, if I
was shooting the upper left quadrant of the screen the cursor would appear
about two inches off. Tried calibrating and now the cursor only appears in
the upper right hand corner (along with the context menu).

Has anyone seen this happening?

Thanks,
Greg

Does your screen turn white when you switch the calibrate button on, or
does it go blank?

Rieker Flaik <rieker_flaik@arcor.de> spewed forth in news:dfen5q$gqh$04$1
@news.t-online.com:

<snip>
My gun appears to be working OK in games, but does the whole shoot in the
corner thing in Windows.

My biggest complaint would probably have to be the "quality" of the new gun
- it feels cheap, the trigger is horrible, and its no where as nice as the
original gun.

Now if I could just get both of them actually working in Mame together I'd
be set!
