Are they going to just be refreshes or will we see a new design? I haven't been keeping up with the rumours.

But with the advent of Ivy Bridge, I look forward to seeing a quad-core IVB Macbook 13". If they make a matte screen Macbook Pro 13" with the same resolution as the MBA 13", I will buy it as soon as it comes out lol.

The next main refresh is when the IvyBridge processors and chip sets get released (june/July) anything before then is just tweaking.

What really is the difference between the Ivy and sandy bridge processors other than a little more speed.

Not really much more speed, more like a better IGP and more power savings.

If they're released without a decent mobile GPU, i think a lot of people are going to be mad, especially if Apple charge the same amount they are now for the machines.

If Apple continues its trend you will need it if you plan on running mountain lion. Seems like every OS refresh leaves older models out in the cold lately. I guess they are billionares for a reason.

To me this is not fair on Apple's part to screw the older customers using their older OS buy wanting more money or to buy another MBP or Air.
