I have a Toshiba c55-A5105 that I was just updating a little bit. I added in a 128gb SSD and then I brought up the manual on toshiba website and it says that it will support 8GB ddr3 1600mhz. Right now it has a 4GB ddr3 1333ghz.

I purchased an 8GB ddr3 1600GHZ pc3-12800 stick and put it in. I power on the laptop and nothing comes on the screen and it doesn't boot up. I put the 4gb stick back in and it fires right up? Why won't the stick I bought work if the manual says it will support it?

Here is what manual says:

Memory Upgrade
Part Number Description
PA5104U-1M4G Toshiba PC3-12800 DDR3L-1600MHz Memory, 4GB
PA5104U-1M8G Toshiba PC3-12800 DDR3L-1600MHz Memory, 8GB

Here is the chip that I ordered.
