Hey! I am looking into building a new mini gaming PC. My inspiration comes from Optimum tech. In his video's he builds in the NCASE M2. Now I don't need that case per se, but something around that size is what I would really like!

For now, I've made something around this configuration:

Mobo: ASUS ROG Strix B760-I GAMING WIFI
CPU: Intel Core i7-14700 Boxed
GPU: Prime GeForce RTX 5070 Ti 16GB GDDR7
AIO CPU Cooler: Arctic Liquid Freezer III 280
RAM: G.Skill Flare X5 F5-6000J2836G32GX2-FX5
SSD: WD Black SN850X (met heatsink) 2TB
PSU: Corsair SF850 (2024)

So, does this look like a good and stable build? Would you recommend changing something?

And what case would work for this, besides the NCASE M2 ?
Would everything fit ?

Thanks!

It would fit but it would also be a hotbox and kill performance

Obviously someone who is into those cases will give you better suggestions. The approximate configuration besides other things is to see ballpark budget(you didn't mention budget, country, preffered places to buy from)...the case there is just for pricing purpose.
Being 1hat 14 gen intel CPUs "have some issues",... and because of being newer/more energy efficient, more powerful e-cores arrow lake seems a better choice to me for intel system. Yes FPS might be lower but with latest "patches", that shoud be even less so.
If you are flexible on the case size, that's what the other two configurations are for.

approximate configuration:

It would fit but it would also be a hotbox and kill performance
What would you consider being a hotbox and killing performance? If I see similar configurations the temperature is around 70 for the GPU and 65 for the cpu. Same thing I have right now with my current build. Not really that bad right?

My budget is around 2000.- may I go on with this! The cheaper the better of course, but it's not going to come down to a 100 price differance. I just want a silent mini PC. My current one is pretty loud, the GPU that is.

Thank you for your suggetions! They look great. Any other case recommendations?

What other CPU would you recommend if this one has issues?

I would avoid 14th gen. Intel apparently still hasn't fixed the CPU degradation issues.

Usually you have to choose quiet operation or a mini PC and cannot get both. There are only about 3 cases that can fit what you want and the NCASE M2 is one of them. Another one is the NR200. I believe there are some lesser known cases out of smaller boutique case companies in China that I am unaware of as well.

I would look at 32GB set of RAM and use the savings for a board that supports PCIe 5.0 for the gpu.

Depends why they are that temperature. You can always underplot cards and run them less aggressively for example
