New mobo and cpu. Can't boot with gt640. Onboard works fine

I've just got a new mobo: gigabyte H81m-h; and cpu, I5 4460. Still using my old two sticks of ram, both 2gb Kingston KHX1600C9D3K2/4GX. The computer works fine with the onboard graphics, and I already formated it, but it wont recognize my GT640 or my old HD 6570, the system beeps and doesn't boot. My PSU is a Zalman HP600 with four multiple 12v rails 16a each.
Thanks in advance, I will be glad if you can help me to narrow down the problem. I'm thinking it is the PSU.

Gigabyte H81M-h
I5 4460 3.2 GHZ
4gb Kingston HyperX 1600 (working at 1333)
EVGA GT640 Single slot, 2gb
Zalman HP600

Maybe the PCIe x16 slot is dead.

Update: Mobo is fine, EVGA GT640 is the problem. Now using HD 6570. RMA the GT640.

PS: Or is something with my PSU Zalman HP600?The GT 640 requires a minimum of 20a on the +12v rail. The PSU has 4 12v rails 16a each. Thanks.

have you tried clearing the cmos, this is an often overlooked step. I had an asus mobo that would recognize nvidia but not amd ... after much frustration someone suggested clearing the cmos, and it worked.

Yes, I've tried. My ATI card is working fine, just waiting for the GT640 to arrive. Thanks for your response

I had the same problem. Onboard works fine, GTX650 beeping and old 9400 gt works fine. You need to update the bios to the latest non-beta version.
Format a USB to fat32.
Download the latest bios for your mobo from gigabyte support page, extract the exe file and put the *.fX file into your usb.
Reboot with the usb connected and press the END key.
You are in Q-flash. Select your usb and then select the *.fX file.
Let the bios be flashed. It takes 2 mkinutes only
But remember, if the PC shuts down or lose its power during flashing, you will need a new mobo.

It may not be only the BIOS update issue, but compability issues. For example, if you have a Gigabyte mobo, prefer to buy a gigabyte GPU to be sure that you won't have compability issues

I know it's solved but last time I had this kind of problem, actually it was my BIOS that needed upgrade.
it wouldn't boot sometimes, and in other times it booted really slowly.

I thought my PSU was not sufficient too, but apparently that wasn't the case.
