New MOBO BIOs/ CPU cleaning

When installing a new MOBO do I always want to update to the newest BIOs via manufacture site for updates/compatibility etc?

Also when cleaning off old CPU paste is 99% isopropyl alcohol best, and is a paper towel/toilet paper okay because I know there may be loose fibers.

I would not update bios unless you have issues, but overclockers like it because new OC stuff gets added to their enthusiast boards and stuff. I find it causes more trouble than it's worth, and I don't ever overclock, I just buy better, faster hardware

as for cleaning cpu I don't know.

I just use the game boost feature that comes with MSI boards that overclocks the CPU a little bit
