So as the title suggest, I have a New motherboard, new CPU, and new PSU bought each twice over because as I built my pc I noticed it wouldn’t start. Hit the power switch and she shuts off after half a second of being on. Did this for days even after I installed all new hardware. Hence the title. I have the entire setup out and have bare minimum to start it. CPU cable in and the ATX pwr plugged in and the CPU in the socket. Turned it on and same thing. Did this exact problem with my old mobo and cpu and psu and those were brand new..
i7-8700 CPU
GTX 1080 Ti
16 GB of Corsair RGB ram
1 tb Samsung ssd
And a B250m mobo.
Old specs the same except it was a b250m mortar Arctic mobo and a Cx 650w PSU (same psu for both just two of em.) I’m just perplexed. I’ve made sure all cables are in snug and nothing is shorting my mobo as I took it out. I’m missing something here.

OH, Beginners mistake! I didn’t remember that it wasn’t compatible! Well, this journey of troubleshooting entailed great knowledge for future reference! Thanks for the help guys!

Absolutely no problems at all. The 8700 is a very good CPU and coupled to the mighty 1080ti will do a great job...you will enjoy..
