Yes, the only difference is memory clock as I suspected, but the cheaper one (retail) is the better card and appears to be on sale and would be the one I would buy.

But is unlogical for me, why would they sell a better card for less money, is in the package something missing? The package is staying high, not wide.

I cannot explain this sale price. The packaging appears to be complete, although I understand your concern that the box appears smaller. You could contact the website by phone to see if there is an explanation.

I read in some forums that retail lite retail full retail versions are just different in most situations extra cables software etc. so I think that's not the problem. What do you think for the normal 7870 sapphire? Is the 7870 OC worth the extra 30-40 €? Or can I just OC the 7870 sapphire normal and easily to that one?

The OC version will be better suited to operating at the overclocked settings since the factory usually selects the better chips to fill the demand for OC models. Also, the factory warranty will not be broken by overclocking the card on your own. I think it is safer to buy the OC version if you plan to overclock the card, but if you are satisfied with the performance of the standard 7870 then save the money.

Ah ok, so I can overclock the Sapphire 7870 OC and my warranty will also stay?? That's nice if I understood it right!
Corsair 1600mhz, and corsair 1866mhz are in the same price range is it good to buy the 1866mhz ? is there any better quality. Latencys are 9-9-9-9-24 or 27 i think so under 9 right?

Overclocking any component will technically void the warranty, so in order to get more performance without breaking the warranty you would want the OC version.
If the price of memory is the same there is no harm getting the faster memory even though the speed increase will be minimal.

THanks, what monitor would you recommend under 200€ for gaming and really nice picture quality.

I have seen this one Samsung S24A350HS
And Asus Asus VS248H
Any other's to recommend?

Monitors are a bit out of my range of expertise, I just know to look for good response time 2-5ms, good resolution, and high standard contrast ratio (not dynamic).

OK i think ill go with the samsung. I can get now the hd 7970 sapphire OC for 360€. Would you recommend it? Or the palit geforce gtx 670 normal version for 340€. What do you suggest?

I've heard really good things about the GTX 670, the two cards will perform on relatively the same level, one might be faster in a certain game/test but the other will be faster in another. I think in this case it comes down to do you want an AMD card or nVidia card.

ok thank you. I know i will have to change a new card in 2 - 3 years again. Is the reference evga gtx 670 good? its not that expensive while watching the others
