If I switch from a GA 7VT600 1394 with the VIA 600 chipset to a GA 7N400
Pro2 with Nvidia, will the sata drivers that were installed still work?

Okay another dumb question. Do you have to reinstall XP to put the sata
drivers in on a new motherboard? I assume The HDD won't be recognized right?

Asking XP to recognise & adapt to a new motherboard is bit of a tall order,
best to format & start again.
