Hi to everyone! I am thinking to upgrade my fx 8350 with an i7 cpu. I decided to go for an i7 6700k and mobo an Asus Maximus viii extreme. Do you think is a good combination? I chose this mobo because i want to push the cpu to it's limit and because it has overclcok panel 2. ( I like this gadjet).Do you have another suggestion for a very good mobo? And also can you suggest a good ram for this combination? Or is it better to wait for the new amd and intel processors? I know they are to many questions but i am a little bit confused. Thank you anyway!!!

It's a bit subjective, but that combo would work well. However, you may consider X99 platform considering how much you'll be paying for that Extreme MoBo. I have the 6700K with the Maximus Formula VIII, and I feel like that's a better cost-effective build. But if you're bent on overclocking the hell out of your CPU, then the Extreme is probably your best bet for the Z170 series. Also, I have dual channel 3200mhz Ram, and I would suggest the same or higher for that build considering the capabilities of that mobo.

Alternatively, you may always wait for the next gen, but be careful not to fall into the loop of always waiting till the next gen like I did, otherwise, you'll never get around to building!
