Hi I'm looking to get a new monitor I currently have a ASUS PB287Q Black 28" and I'm just looking for something bigger I play league and fps games. I'm looking into getting an
Asus ROG PG348Q Black 34. Would it be worth it?

Using an LCD in anything but it's native res ar subdivisions of it will always look bad. And even on 28" the DPi is too great and you would have to use high DPI settings. I say no.
The twin monitors Asus ROG SWIFT PG348Q and Acer X34 Predator are widely considered to be the best gaming monitors ever made and for good reason: they hit the perfect balance of features: 34" 21:9 1440p 100Hz IPS with G-sync(which is a must!).
4k is overrated and it's not quite time for it yet. What would you do in games that don't play ball with SLI? No single card can handle it properly as of today?
Also 4k is too much resolution for anything upto and including 21:9 34" and 16:9 27" and you wuold have to use high DPI setting in windows which is not a good experience.

So, if you can afford either, yes, totally worth it. this is all assuming you own an Nvidia GPU.

No matter your GPU I second what the other two are saying. I have played on 1080,1440p and 4k. The jump from 1080 to 1440 was stunning, while the jump from 1440 to 4k was... decent. I currently rock the Acer Predator XB271HU, and haven't had any complaints at all. If you play fps games competitively, I'd recommend prioritizing it having 144hz over having 4k resolution.

Here's my $0.02 on the subject:

Buy the 4K. If your graphics card won't run games at 4K, turn the res down. Having a 4K monitor is like spending more money on your motherboard so you can upgrade it more later. You can do more with future upgrades because you have room to grow :)
Just because your graphics card can't run it now, doesn't mean your next card will have that issue!

Agreed. I've never used 1440 on a 4k, but I have used 1080p on my 1440p monitor and it looks worse than when using just a native 1080 display. With a 980ti and the possibility of a 2nd, OP will be golden.
