Question new monitor no sound

Anyways welcome to the forum and regardless of not having speakers having the headphone jack on the monitor makes it easier when you do have to use earphones.

Also a benefit is if you have a monitor that lets you have input 1 and an input 2 having the headphone jack on the monitor make it just flow sound wise when you change inputs being as both input 1 or input 2 will feed the sound to monitor than you feed it to earphones or a sound system off the monitor.

ok so your saying when i get speakers or when i use headphones i would plug both in monitor? and i really appreciate your help and the welcome

What I meant is if your monitor lets you have two video sources meaning computer on input 1 using display port than input 2 on HDMI maybe a Sony PS-5 both will send video as well as sound. So when you switch inputs for video it will automatically send the in use input audio to your headphones " OR " sound system plugged into the headphone out on the monitor.
