New Monitor Question

Hey , noob question incoming.

If i upgrade to a 1980 x 1080 monitor will my gpu run slowly , for example fps downgrades ?

GPU : Nvidia GTX 750 gigabyte 2 gb edition

The bigger the resolution, the work the graphics card has to do is higher, and therefore reduce performance. But with a 2GB 750, it should be able to handle most games running at med-high settings 1080p without a hassle.

Yes you will see a decrease in performance, you FPS will probably drop by 10-20%. The monitor you chose is not bad.
