Question New monitor?

So I’ve currently got this monitor

Considering changing it out for the Dell below.

I know the aoc is slightly faster, but the Dell is flat vs curved and I work on 2 27 inch all day at the office. I think I’m just used to it more. I tried 32 inch before and ended up selling it to a guy at work. Just seemed too big at the time. I’m thinking of getting the Dell for the ips panel. No real need for 2 monitors for just gaming plus I’d need to upgrade the desk to an L shape and don’t want to do that until I move.

Though I will admit starting to think on trying out a bigger monitor again. For example found this on amazon.

you should include your complete system specs along with what your main usage(gaming, image production, video editing, etc) will be.

and your preferences for a display;
size
resolution
refresh rate
response time
panel type
free/g - sync
etc...

just asking what others may think about your linked options leads to user preferences which are always different depending on that specific user.

you should spend some time out at electronics retailers, computer shops, etc seeing what they have out on display where you can get an idea of what exactly would be your own preference.

Oh yes forgot specs. Rule #1 lol

Intel i5 12600kf
MSI z690 WiFi board (ddr4 version)
32gb ddr4 3200mhz(2x16 sticks)
AsRock Phantom Gaming RX 6800 xt OC
Corsair RM850x psu
Thermalright peerless assassin cooler
Fractal design focus g case
500gb gen 4 crucial ssd(can’t remember if it’s that or Corsair atm
2tb sata ssd for storage
2tb pci e gen 4 for additional storage as well I remember purchasing it from Newegg but for the life of me can’t remember the brand right now. Either way storage is no issue.

The aoc monitor above connected via display port at 165hz and running 1440p. So I can’t really see upgrading cpu, ram or board right now as the CPU from what I read should be about the same level, just behind really, the ryzen 5 7600. Plus at 1440p we all know the cpu isn’t working as hard. I did find a 12700k for $199. But that would be kind of a sides grade for gaming. Not sure I want to go to Intel 13th and 14th gen for one cost of the cpu and also the issues they’ve had. Plus the fact if I went close to say 399, I might as well pick up a combo with a ryzen 7700x , board and 32gb of ram at microcenter for that price. Not sure at 1440p upgrading above the 6800xt gets me much more that a few benchmark points which then facilitates a new psu most likely. So I feel I’m pretty well maxed out with my PC without making a major change.

Current monitor is a VA panel. Truth be told I’m likely splitting hairs. I work on 2 27 inch flat Dell monitors at the office and I’ve heard supposedly that ips might be a little better image quality. Saw an oled monitor for 399, but I’m married and have this thing about living lol.

If I’m not mistaken the current monitor has a 1000R curve. When I tried a 32 inch it seemed like I felt like I potentially got motion sickness a little with it at that size and distance in my desk which I think was my reasoning for not keeping it. A few years back I had a 27 inch 1080p monitor that I’d had for a while and that always seemed like a comfortable size mostly. I may have gotten the motion sickness a little with that but it’s been years ago and mostly I think it was fine.

I think I’m at the place really where I don’t NEED to upgrade anything for at least a year or two. Haven’t been on the pc as much this past year but starting to get that itch again if you know what I mean.
