Hey guys,

So i recently had my old motherboard move to the next life.....(insert sad music here)... 🙁
Seems im now in the market for a new one, as well as a new processor. Ive decided on the I5 6600k, and i'd like some suggestions on what mobo to go with.

Im looking for one that will do what i need it to do and not cost half as much as the processor lol...but im willing to do that.

Previous System Specs : -Core i7 Extreme (old 1366 platform)
-Asus p6t motherboard
-GTX 960 4gb oc'ed
-16Gb ddr3 G.Skill ram
-Cooler Master 750 psu
-Corsair C70 Vengence case Military style

Thanks for the suggestions in advance...and rip p6t :'(

Solution
I assume since you didn't mention, that you want to keep the old RAM ?

Short term this is the least expensive solution ... long term, that DDR3 doesn't have much of a future. performance wise, outside of memory benchmarks, it's a wash. So if desire is to keep the RAM ...

If upgrading the RAM... all below support SLI and come with ALC 1150 or equivalent audio solution. There would be some Asus boards on the list but the ones otherwise in the running had low budget audio (ALC 892 or worse) solutions and / or extremely negative reviews / ratings from board owners.
