New Motherboard and CPU reinstall windows without disk?

Hello

I have just bought a new Mobo and CPU and waiting for them to be delivered. What would be the best way to transfer windows 8.1? I have a retail not OEM however do not have the disk, only the key. Is this possible?

If it had an old OS and you don't need anything, then yes you can format it.
