Hei!

I was just about to order new pc from komplett.no, but was not sure what motherboard to pick.

I will use i7-4790k and ASUS GeForce STRIX GTX 970 4GB PhysX.

The motherboards i can choice between is:

ASUS Z97-P
ASUS Z97-K
ASUS Z97-AR
ASUS Z97-A
ASUS MAXIMUS VII RANGER

Was thinking about ASUS Z97-P because it have the lowest cost, but is there any performance difference between these motherboards?

Solution
there is no performance difference, only options are different.
for example the A has dual pcie x16 slots that are version 3.0 while the P only has 1 such slot.

So will be fine with i7-4790k and ASUS GeForce STRIX GTX 970 4GB Physx? : = )

If i want to OC in the future will that work with this motherboard? and the gpu is factory oc'd out of the box.

And thanks for the reply.

a and ar are the same thing except ar dosent come with vga and dvi plus on the mobo but they come with hdmi and display port, but not like your gonna need those anyways. plus ar comes in a cool black and gray color, instead of gold.

You'll be able to OC - the ultimate potential goes down as does the price, the BIOS in the higher boards is better, power management is better (i.e. the A/AR both use a 8 phase design, the C has a 6 phase design , the K and the P drop to a 4 phase)

you might wanna read tradesman1 comment before you make your decision. higher power phases usually mean higher oc, i think....
