Hello everyone!

Just received my new motherboard - Asrock 970 pro3 r2.0 and i tried to install it.
After putting all parts into it I booted it up, all fans started to spin but monitor received black screen.

My hd 7770 video card does not work on this motherboard (fan does not spin)
But my old hd 5450 wors but i recive black screen.

Hd 7770 is working properly on my old motherboard.

I upgraded my motherbord because of my new CPU phenom ii X6 1045t which required it.

And I have 500w PSU and 3 gb of DDR3 ram, and windows 7 Home premium 64-bit.

Also i didn't get any sound of it.

I hope you will help me.

Sorry for my English, it's not my native language.

Hi,

Get the memory out and try to post, if you have a pc speaker, you should hear beeps, witch means something wrong with the memory.

Did you plug in all the power cord to mobo and video card (if needed)

I checked the cpu support and it should be fine.
You might want to check the cpu for a bent pin.

Else you might have a DOA mobo ==> RMA

I forgot to mention i have one ATX power connetor with 24-pins and another with 8-pins. I plug in my 24-pin power connector but in 8-pin connector I plug in just 4-pins. Motherboard user manual says that motherboard can still run with 4-pin connector. Maybe it causes some problems?

EDIT: I have tried old cpu Athlon ii x2 215 it didn't work too but it works on old board

So I have to find some adapter to my PSU to connect 8-pin connector ?
Yes 1x1gb and 1x2gb of ram.
And I pluged in 6 pin adapter into card and it's not working on this board but it works on my old one.

Your m/b has an 8 pin socket near the i/o ports. Your psu should have a cable that has a 4+4 pin connector. The 4x4 may be hooked together and look like an 8 pin.

What is the make/model of your psu?
What ram are you using (brand, DDR2? DDR3?)
