New Motherboard Recommendation

I plan to move to the ivybridge i5 3570K with a new motherboard, I am looking for some recommendation for the new motherboard. I’m hoping this new setup to last a few years and be upgrade flexible. Any thoughts on a LGA 1155 socket board? The ASUS P5E3 Premium I bought a few years ago has been a bit of overkill as it had more bells and whistles than I ever used. My planned use is home/business office and gaming (as is probably obvious from the GTX 680 gpu listed below) – I plan on using the motherboard's built in sound (might add home theater sound later) – I can afford $700 for the board and cpu as I will reuse the other components. My current build includes:

CPU Yorkfield Q9550 Quad
Mobo ASUS P5E3 Premium
Case ANTEC 900
PSU ANTEC 1000
Memory 8 gig Corsair DDR3 CNX4Gx3M2a1600C9
HDs 2 WD Velocoraptor 300 GB
SSD - Crucial M4 128
GPU Nvidia GTX 680 (Zotac)
CU fan, optical drives, gaming mouse and keyboard etc..
Windows 7 Ultimate running 64 bit
Local 100gb LAN

Any recommendations for the new motherboard will be greatly appreciated

Antec 1000watts? Talk about an overkill! Good PSU tho.
About the motherboard get one with a Z68 chipset if you can afford it. If not get a P67 nothing less.

if you're not upgrading until Ivy Bridge is out I would recommend waiting for the z77 boards that will be coming out with them...

I expect the 3750K to be priced about $230.
A Z77 motherboard about $150.
Possibly you will need 1.5v ram for $40 for 8gb kit.

Built in HD sound is fine. One can always add a sound card later.

Your budget is plenty. Spend the extra on a second (preferably identical) monitor which is a most useful addition for desktop work.

I see no value in acting prematurely on a 1155 motherboard. Prices can only drop if anything, and we may yet see some Z77 features of interest.

Ah that PSU was a goof on my part - forgot to put things on different rails - had specked out a 750 as being ample with some reserve then ran into power problems not thinking about putting differnt things on different rails - so yeah.... Over kill city.. As to the motherboard I see this one as a popular choice

ASUS P8Z68-V PRO/GEN3 LGA 1155 Intel Z68 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard with UEFI BIOS - I am looking at ASUS products as that P5 althought overkill, perfromed well for me , although If thsomeing in the same price range is better then I'd go that way

Good council, the messages I thought I read a few moths ago speculated that ivy was coming out this month so I was starting to collect advice (recall I jusr got a Zotac GTX 680) forthe GPU..... I will wait on the mobo. Thanks All
