Meh, I don't think I would ever purchase another gaming laptop, they are pretty heavy, and are more comfortable to play on a desk anyways. also I can't warrant spending $1500+ on a difficult to upgrade chassis, would rather go with a tower and have easier upgrade-ability, and cheaper components with similar performance.

[citation][nom]Andrei24[/nom]Would not pay so much money on something that looks so tacky. You have to be a teenager to think these look cool. I would be embarrassed to be seen with something like this.[/citation]

Harden up bud

@ Andrei24: If it's looks you want, don't worry about tech. Stick with the ladies.

[citation][nom]christop[/nom]I don't see the point in gaming on a laptop. You could build a super killer desktop rig with that kind of money.[/citation]

The point is that it's portable, thus the laptop moniker. Is this really a difficult concept for you to grasp?

I think both of these are actually great deals, compared to other offerings from Lemon, Boxxtech (Sager), and the recent Razor which is much too pricey despite it's cool interface. MSI's done well finding a middle ground - smoking the Lemons outright in all ways, but keeping away from the obscene prices other gaming laptops tend to gravitate towards. Of course you get what you pay for. But compared to many other brands, MSI makes great and sturdy products, and with the GTX570M involved it's going to be tough to out-framerate these two on the go.

Really like the GTX570M. From what I can tell, it is up to 50% faster than the 560M, and only a few watts extra. Too bad this only brings it's speed up to the level of an old 460GTX desktop card. But that is good enough for almost all 1080 games out there today. Really like the Matte screen MSI keeps using. I hope Asus is paying attention to all of the sales it is creating for MSI when they get around to releasing their G75. By the way Asus, the zero key HAS to be returned to full size when you put out the G75. Even MSI knows better than to mess with the number pad.

Not sure what people here mean by posting it's "too expensive". It's only "too expensive" if you can find other products with the same specs at a lower price. Yes this *costs more* than your average every-day laptop you find at Best Buy or something, but a BMW or Lexus costs more than your average Toyota/Chevy/etc. commuter car as well.

Criticizing a gaming laptop because it's more expensive than a desktop is ridiculous as well ... of course it's gonna be more expensive, what do you expect lol ?? This isn't even an argument, it's just stating the obvious.

yeah some people here, like me, travels a lot. work, home, family, gf, pleasure. i like the power and cost of a desktop but i want something i can take with me to the other side of the globe. there are GAMERS in the comfort of their own Control Room. And there are Mobile Gamers, which having a desktop means leaving it for someone else to enjoy... :)
