Question New Multitasking PC

Quick question guys. I'm planning on building a new rig with multitasking in mind ( not video editing or some thing like that, but more of working in multiple text (translating and such). I'm looking at a Ryzen 7 1700 or a newer Ryzen 5 2600. The VGU is going to be a MSI 4GB RX 570. Where do I put my money? The difference in price is neglible.

The 2600 especially at stock speeds on both will work a lot better as the 1700 is clocked so low for most tasks.

Are you using some sort of very heavy software for this???
Because otherwise even a celeron will be enough to edit hundreds of text files at once.
If you do use some software tell us which, it might run much better on an intel chip or your first thought might be right and a ryzen might be better.

No, no special software. My first thought was with the Ryzen 5. Thanks a lot.
