Bah small ssd for os, rest on hdds with raid if anything. I wonder why they keep making bigger and bigger ssds, considering that only a small portion of the population will be able to buy it, they should have just a stock of "unsold" ssds...

And that would hurt everyone since we wont have decent prices, and companies wont sell. As always, logic is less important than profit 😀.

[citation][nom]beardguy[/nom]What a pain in the ass...all because your SSD doesn't have enough storage Why don't you just uninstall the games you've finished and install new ones?[/citation]
Based on my own experience, loaded and unloaded software craps up my system even if it isn't malicious. Before I install new software, I do an image backup of my OS. If I don't like it, I restore. I have a nice, clean, snappy OS. And if I screw up and get malware, I just restore the last image backup (not that that happens often).
It's a matter of personal taste, I suppose.

"Until now SSDs have been tailored for specific applications, forcing users into a product which maximizes performance for a narrow band of applications, but is significantly lacking in others,"

What the hell? This statement is complete bullshit.

I think the guy was referring to the incompressible data problem with Sandforce SSds. Statement is still bullshit but makes a little more sense if that is true.
