Hey there everyone of TH. I'm needing to get a few new parts for my PC. I'd like to start overclocking my i5-2500k a bit but it is 4 years old... is it still a good idea? Also I currently have the corsair CX600M PSU and its rated in tier 4...... so I'm thinking I need a new one to run my i5 along with my gtx 970. If I do, what do you guys think about this one? http://www.ncix.com/detail/evga-supernova-750-b2-80-e6-97531.htm?affiliateid=7474144&promoid=1715#CustomerReviews

Also, I'm having the worst of times trying to find a new ssd. I'd like a good one but for a decent price, say under $120 CAD. Can I get some help with these? Hope to get some responses, as I usually do! Thanks in advance!

One more thing, I really want a new case as well... could I get opinions on these four?

Solution
I'd ask you to look into this unit. While you can also look into these chassis':

https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/product/jcH48d/cooler-master-masterbox-5-black-atx-mid-tower-case-mcx-b5s1-kwnn-11
since you're working with an atx motherboard.

SSD's:

https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/product/rrvZxr/crucial-mx300-275gb-25-solid-state-drive-ct275mx300ssd1
I'd go for the Crucial.

IMHO, the price's of things in Canada are erm, high...

Numpty,
I was getting to hat point, the VRM area being naked

does not encourage...

couldnt give an accurate answer to that

best bet would be google your motherboard and overclocking to see what others got--and since its an older board if it affected the board at all long term--the one i used for 5ghz is still going strong 5 years later for the guy i sold it to

Okay thanks! I'll look into it.
